Career Profile

24 plus years pastoring in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.  Programmer/Developer  with over 15 years experience in both the Investment and Insurance industries. Extensive experience on all levels of web development using the MVC model and J2EE patterns.

Selected Accomplishments

  • Automated the creation of a web based approach, using the Struts 2.0 framework, to maintaining selected database table data in Sybase and Oracle reducing time to production from 1 month to 1 day.
  • Automated the process of identifying non-standard web page syntax in html and jsp pages.
  • Developed a backend engine in Java 5 for maintain database table data in an Oracle database in which data transfer objects and data access objects (in lieu of entity beans) were created and maintained in memory reducing the application’s footprint.
  • Taught and supervised new employees in setting up the common environment and standard approach to the development process and deploying to and configuring the IBM WebSphere Application Server 4.x-6.1 for Enterprise Archive Files.(EARs) used by management.
  • Wrote a multithreaded process to receive broadcast, UDP, fixed length packets of corporate bond data, from FINRA, for a real time update
    of reporting data.
  • Prototyped using the REST architecture obtaining a flash formatted graph of market data for web display.
  • Developed various reports using report writers (JReport, SSRS, and Actuate) using Actuate basic, Java and VB to generate PDF reports on Windows XP.
  • Taught Biblical Languages and pastored in 3 different denominations: A of G, IFCA,and Conservative Baptist Faiths.

  • Pastored 5 churched during this time one of which was a home missions work in Islington, MA. Which was merged with the (then) First Baptist of
    Dedham, MA. 1991.
  • West Cape May (NJ) Assembly of God – now located in Cold Springs) 1969-1971
  • Served on the faculty of Western Pennsylvania Bible Institute, Butler PA. (A then A og G bible institute) 1972-1975
  • Taught at the Lighthouse Bible School, an independent pentecostal ministry. 1975 (6 months)
  • Pastored the Burgettstown Christian Assembly, Burgettstown, PA. Affilifated with the now IFCA (International Fellowship of Christian
    Assemblies.) 1976-1983
  • Taught koine Greek in the in a number of locations in Western Pennsylvania
    including being on staff at the Bethel Park Seminary under the
    leadership of Dr. James Lane.
  • Served on the Executive Secretary/Treasurer of the then CCNA (now IFCA) in Transfer, PA. 1983-1984
  • Pastored the then Norwood Christian Assembly church, Norwood, MA (Now the Waters church). 1984-1988
  • Pastored a pioneer minister CCM (Christian Community Ministries) in Islington, MA which merged in 1991 with the then First Baptist Church of Dedham, MA. 1989-1991
  • Pastored First Baptist of Dedham, MA. –renamed to The Fellowship Church. 1991-1993

Principal Financial Software Engineer

  • Developed a number of web based applications using A Struts framework in Java 5, JSTL, JQuery, Ajax, JSP, Javascript, CSS, and HTML on Linux (backend) Windows XP (Front end) for Oracle, Sybase, and MSSqlServer database table data maintenance.
  • Participated in a support network for applications using Java and C on Linux and Windows XP to expedite implementing solutions and fixes to production issues.
  • Developed solutions for unique or one time tasks using Java, C, Korn on Linux and Windows XP for business applications.
  • Participated in developing a stand alone application using C# on IIS and Windows for the equity trading system using web services.

Contractor –Programmer

  • Participated in the rewrite of the Home/Condo/Renter online Insurance Quote for the site in html4.x, jsp, EL (expression language), jstl, css and javascript, Dojo 1.5 and JDK 5
  • Developed an analytical engine in Groovy and Ant to report on all none standard coding practices that though safe from failing, would be rejected by the IBM process. This in house analytical process reviewed the entire site for improper coding practices and has been useful in catching what the eye manually fails to find.
  • Participated in a redesign of the outward facing web site. This is primarily presentation layer work in css 3.x, dojo 1.8, and using the blue css framework.
